BIO

Jill Kimball grew up in South Florida and studied art at the University of New Mexico before moving to New York City. There she attended the New York Studio School of Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture. After two years she was awarded both the Mercedes Matter NYSS Merit Scholar Award and the Yale/Norfolk Scholarship Program Award. She received her MFA in painting from Hunter College in 1989 and was an adjunct Assistant Professor of painting, drawing, and Introduction to Art at Bloomfield College for three years. 

Kimball’s work has been in both solo and group exhibitions, and is in numerous private collections nationally and internationally. After many years in Brooklyn, NY, Kimball lives in the Montclair, NJ area, where she raised two children, and maintains an active studio practice. In addition to being a painter, she is also a committed art teacher for young adults with autism
